Temescal Creek originates way up in
Montclair. It flows into the Temescal Lake where it's joined by the
branch from the Tunnel Road area (which drains the BART tunnel).
From there it's culverted under Highway 24. The Grandview Branch (also
called Vicente Creek)drains the Claremont Heights area and joins the
culvert near Chabot School. A religious college has a nice open creek
segment in its large backyard. Harwood Creek (aka Claremont Creek)
joins in from the north. Below there it's culverted to the outflow
in Emeryville, except for one peculiarity: a fake creek segment near
Claremont and Telegraph, where part of the flow is diverted above-ground.
